Hello, my name is Joey Carter. I am currently working on my A.B. degree in Philosophy and (maybe) a minor in Classics. My research interests are the life and thought of John Calvin, Jonathan Edwards, philosophical theology, and Patristics. I hope to pursue a career not only in teaching philosophy and theology, but also a career as a Research Librarian would suit me just fine. Aside from my academic interests, I am part of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church and find it to be a welcoming solace for someone like me. Not only that, I am an avid photographer, and I hope to be posting some of my pictures soon.
However, the purpose this blog is to not only help me streamline my thoughts in a public setting, but also provide an opportunity for others to voices their agreements/disagreements in a cordial and scholarly manner. A great passion of mine is to see the One and Holy Catholic Church reunite on a sound theological base with our faith being lived out through love. Now, though this passion may be one that may never come to full fruition, and I can admit that, this is still my passion. I hold fast to Ecclesia Reformata semper reformanda, and I believe that we should not be stagnant in our faith. So I hope with this, I can share my thoughts and concerns.
“Preserve me, O God; For I take refuge in you. I say to the Lord, ‘You are my Lord, apart from you I have no good.” Ps. 16:1-2
